Just recently I was asked by a young lady if I would consent to an interview with regards to the Veterans Bill. The interview is an assignment which Ashleigh had to do for her studies in Journalism. The context of the interview was to surround the controversial topic of excluding former national serviceman from the Bill.
I duly agreed for several reasons. One...I know the young lady and her family and two...the exclusion of ex-nsm is a point of contention which I believe needs to be re-visited.

When Ashleigh sent me a copy of the article it sent a shiver down my spine.  I was amazed at the level of understanding that this young lady showed in this contentious subject and in her ability to 'read between the lines' and report what was said accurately.
There are no assumptions in her article just straigh-forward fact...unlike many articles I used in my second book.
 
Ashleigh has already had one article published in a local newspaper about Former World Boxing Champion Bryan Mitchell, perhaps some of you have read it. I have no doubt that in the future we are going to be hearing a lot more from this young lady, and you can bet your last penny that her reporting will reflect the integrity and honesty of a person far beyond her years and in the manner in which she has been raised.

Remember this name people because in the years to come you will be hearing a lot more from her...Ashleigh Egan.
